ART GALLERY EXHIBITION

“ON THE EDGE” – Debuts August 18

Debuting August 18 in the Museum Gallery is a new and energized exhibition titled On the Edge: A new generation of artists from the Santa Ynez Valley. All 14 exhibiting artists are graduates of Santa Ynez Valley schools who are inspired and driven by their passion for art.

From Paris to New York and back to the Santa Ynez Valley, these homegrown artists are creating thoughtful and energized work. The show features a variety of art mediums including oil and acrylic painting, mixed media installation work, conté crayon, video, wire and more. 

“I have had such fun bringing together this talented group of young artists,” says Executive Director Esther Jacobsen Bates. “I have known many of them for years and had the pleasure of watching them grow and develop artistically. The diversity and creativity of their work is stimulating and provokes conversation.”

Featured artists are: Sarah Arlen, Lauren N. Bassett, Kristen Bates, Dawn Cerny, Kari Crist, Mackenzie Duncan, Turner Mark-Jacobs, Alissa Massey, Lily Nathan, Karina Puente, Luis Ramirez, Ethan Turpin and Chelsea Ward.

The exhibition will remain on display through November 4.
